Two veteran officers with the Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries have received promotions.

Walls

Heath Walls has been promoted to Lieutenant and District Four Assistant Supervisor. As Assistant District Supervisor, Walls will be responsible for the day-to-day law enforcement operations for the counties in the northern portion of district four in southeast Alabama.

Walls has served as a Conservation Enforcement Officer with the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources since 1998. His career began in the Marine Resources Division where he reached the rank of sergeant. He transferred to the WFF in 2003, and is currently stationed in Elmore County.

WFF Chief of Law Enforcement Kevin Dodd said the hunting and fishing public are well served by Walls’ dedication to his profession.

“Walls is a seasoned, practical and levelheaded officer,” Dodd said. “He is a true public servant and deserving of this promotion.”

Walls lives in Wetumpka and serves as Vice President of the Alabama Conservation Enforcement Officers Association. When away from work, Walls participates in several outdoors programs including Step Outside and Outdoor Women Unlimited.
